These five brief piano pieces have been taken from Rossin´s little-known „Péchés de vieillesse“ (Sins of Old Age). This collection, unpublished during Rossini´s lifetime, was written during the final decade of his life, starting in 1857. Among Rossini admirers the „Péchés“ are something of an insider’s tip: presented here are selected pianistic showpieces burstíng with witty and parodistic details.
